I started transforming myself a year ago.I wanted to explore my female side and while I had crossed dressed since a child I had always felt a sense of shame about it. I began to sense that the culture had changed for the better and that people were more accepting about men and women expressing their inner gender. I started slowly at first. Buying a few outfits at thrift stores and most importantly shopping around for a wig. I then attended a transformation session with the great Elizabeth Taylor who lives locally in the DC burbs and things started moving forward. I started going out to soirees and met a number of men who were deeply closeted so much that they rarely came out in their female guise. I felt sorry for them as they felt threatened that they would be exposed and their male identity would be in tatters.
I thought they needed to stop this negative self talk and embrace more of their feminine side.I organized volunteer events but pitifully few signed up. They wanted to live their female side in the shadows. I instead began going out more even though my wife was not 100 percent supportive she tolerated it as long as she did not have to see me in my female attire.
I began to enjoy the whole experience and tried to convince others that there was a joyful path ahead for them. I was sometimes successful and then I thought maybe if I could post my shingle out as a LifeCoach for the deeply closeted people might be peer out from their bunkers and smell the roses to speak. Well that is the idea. I will offer a free consultation and then we can begin to move from there. I have tips for getting started down this path--which I will reveal in future posts
